Filthy McNasty’s Readings

One of our postgraduate creative writers has organized a monthly reading event in London. Some or all of you might be interested to go along and listen, or read. Below, the relevant information from an email he sent about the event:

I’m on the Creative Writing MA at present and I’ve managed to book us a monthly slot at Filthy McNasty’s in Angel, Islington to read our poetry and prose. I was speaking to Jo Shapcott yesterday and mentioned that it’d be great if people who’ve already done the course were able to come down and read some of their work too, and she said that you might be able to email the previous years on my behalf.

The details are:

First night is Wednesday 28th January at Filty McNastys on Amwell Street, Angel, London – starts about 7. Poetry and Prose writers welcome, hopefully we’ll have a nice mixture of the two.

From then on it’ll be the last Wednesday of the month, so 25th of Feb and 25th of March etc.

many thanks,

Dec

I urge all playwrights to crash the party…

I’d like to point out that I didn’t write the message, and that the MA student who wrote it is part of a program that is for prose fiction writers and poets; that said, I too urge playwrights to crash the party.
