Jane Austen’s Pride and Predator

You may think I’m joking; I’m not.

The movie “Pride and Predator,” directed by Will Clark and written by Mr. Clark with Andrew Kemble and John Pape, will juxtapose brooding aristocrats with a brutal alien that lands in 1800s-era Britain, attacking residents and leaving them with neither sense nor sensibility.

See, now, (and to slip into the vernacular for a moment) that’s what I’m talking about. Fo shizzle.  [AR]

I’m sure there’s a rule about men of a certain age using phrases like “fo shizzle.” Also, I find myself strangely confused as to why “the king of high-concept sci-fi” hasn’t already covered this territory in novel form.

Fortunately, the ever-youthful Adam Roberts is a man of uncertain age and the usual rules don’t apply, ma nizzle. [DR Dre]

  3. DR has seen ma nizzle too. So he knows whereof he speaks. (What are the rules, incidentally, concerning a man of a certain age using a word like ‘whereof’?)

‘Strange confusion’ is my whole aesthetic aim, in one handy little phrase.

Well, then keep up the good work?
